Many polyps show no symptoms and do not betray their presence while some polyp symptoms are suvere. Symptoms include: rectal bleeding, bloody stools, abdominal pain and fatigue. Constipation and diarrhoea also can result. If a polyp is large enough, it may obstruct a bowels movement and cause naussea vomiting and suvere constipation. A flexible sigmoidoscopy or large bowel test can often determine the presence of precancerous tumor. We know that many cancers develop from Polyps but we still do not know which polyps will develop into a cancer.
